I'm not a morning person. Not at all. But the photographer in me knows that for great landscape photos you need great light, and that only comes early in the morning and late in the afternoon. So once in a while I kick myself out of bed well before dawn and go shoot some pictures.
The sunrise in early April was at about 6.30 a.m. and I made sure I didn't miss it. I was on the chosen location early enough to capture some mists that hung low above the ground before the sun rays dissipated them.
I visited a few different spots and actually saw the sun come up twice. I won't write any comments to the following photos - I think they say everything that needs to be said:
