Today I'm posting just a few pics from Belgrade. I was there in mid September, but just for a few hours, and apart from walking down the main street I really only got the see one of Belgrade's biggest attractions - the orthodox church of St. Sava, which happens to be the largest orthodox church in the world that is still in use. Its dome is 70 meters high!
If you want to get some nice sunrise photos, you can't go wrong with shooting from the Sv. Ana Hill above the Ljubljansko Barje marshes. The hill is just high enough to offer great views over the vast plains below and sports a photogenic little chapel. Most late spring and summer mornings are foggy in the lowlands, which means fairytale-like scenes of the river and solitary trees shrouded in mist.
Yes, I had to get up early and leave home at 4.15 a.m. to get to my destination before dawn. Was it worth it? I would say so! :) More photos here.
